Our vocation is to live the Gospel together in small communities, seeking God, by living simply and announcing Christ to the workers and residents of the poorer neighborhoods. Your generosity helps us continue this urgent mission that the Church entrusts to us.
What are donations used for?
Our congregation receives no assistance from the government. We are supported by ourselves and our friends. The Sons of Charity in France and other countries work in poor parishes and receive reimbursement from the diocese while they work in the ministry, but the congregation has to provide financial support for:
- its full-time superiors, national and international encounters, continuing education, and spiritual retreats for the Sons of Charity.
- maintaining most of our communities in Africa, Latin America, and the Philippines, as well as their pastoral work and humanitarian activities.
- vocational activities, formation houses, and education of young men in all our countries
- maintenance of our senior brothers, retirement houses, and the personnel necessary for assuring them a dignified old age, the cost of which is very high, as we all know.
