Ordination

Zeferino was ordained priest on June 13.

The second event is the building of our formation house. It is moving ahead, with care but also with joy and if God want to we should occupy it soon.

Zeferino Sakapepa maked perpetual profession on September 24, in Almada (Setúbal).

The formula of profession as given by Father Anizan is the following : Resolved to carry the cross and to follow Jesus Christ, my divine Master, I make to God and in your hands for all may life, the vows of poverty, chastety and obedience in teh Congregation of the Sons of Charity, according to its Constitutions.

The life of our Institute in France

You probably know it by now, a new regional council for France will start its term of office at the beginning of July. Jean Guellerin is the new Regional Superior, Gérard Marle will be his assistant on Louis Blanc Street, but only half-time, Joël Vabre has been re-elected and Jean-Michel Rapaud has been appointed member of the council. After Jacques Robbe, the work goes on and there are many challenges to be met: youth and vocational ministry, consolidating our spirituality in viable religious teams, a mission to live together in popular and multiethnic neighborhoods, etc.

There will a few changes next year. As you know, there will be an exchange of posts between Francisco and Emmanuel Say. Francisco will be going to France in September then to the Ivory Coast in February after a few months of refresher courses. Pepe wil  join the team in Getafe. Rolando, who has made the best of his period of studies, will remain in Getafe until January. Victor will be leaving the parish where he has been living until now, in order to undertake pastoral activities on both our parishes.

In August, the “Taller Anizan” will leave for a journey to Paris. 37 people will be participating. They are much eager to walk in the steps of Father Anizan.

Sons of Charity, Anizan Fraternity, Auxiliatrices de la Charité and Companions of Charity lived together a time of fraternity, sharing and  prayer united by the same spirituality, that of our founder Émile Anizan.  We feel more and more that the same inspiration gives life to our congregations and our fraternity groups: the love for God and the love for all the forsaken. A genuine family is being built. Let us rejoice and keep on reaping the fruits of the Spirit.
